Met Union Advice Service
If ever you need help with a university issue, the Met Union Advice Service is here to help.
We provide free, independent, confidential and non-judgemental advice to London Met students when things go wrong.
We can help you understand University procedures, explain your options and support you with academic issues such as Appeals, Mitigating Circumstances, Academic Misconduct, Complaints and Fitness to Practise.
Remember, Met Union is totally independent from the University. This means we provide impartial advice that is separate from University decision-making. We can help you to understand the university's procedures and make informed decisions about what to do next.
How to get advice
For now, you probably won't need us! We just want you to know we're here in case you ever need our help. If you have any questions or think you might need advice, drop an email to studentsunion@londonmet.ac.uk or pop in and see us in the Harglenis Building on Holloway Road. One of our friendly team will point you in the right direction.

We are based in the Harglenis Building on Holloway Road. You can come and see us any time you have a question, need support with navigating student life, or just want somewhere to hang out with other students. Our team can advise you on the best place to get the support you need, help you to join or create student groups, enrol you into our student rep programme, and help with anything else you might need. Other Student Support Services
Student Zone
The Student Zone is your first point of contact for general University enquiries.
They can help with:
- Enrolment
- Student ID cards
- Confirmation of study letters
- Council tax letters
- Timetables
- Module information
- Updating your student record
- Referrals to other University services
You can contact Student Zone by email, through the Freshservice portal or by attending one of their drop-in sessions.
Disability & Dyslexia Service (DDS)
DDS provides support for disabled students and those with specific learning differences.
They can advise on reasonable adjustments, Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) and disability-related support throughout your studies.
Counselling Service
The Counselling Service offers support for your mental health and wellbeing; they offer drop-in sessions as well as bookable appointments.
